The Olney Culture Lab presents the Revival Walks in Tacony Creek Park, hosted by Storyteller Mama Carla and featuring special guest artists.
Originally created by dance artist / activist Lela Aisha Jones during the height of the pandemic, the Revival Walks brought healing, solace and joy to participants, as facilitators lifted up Afro-centric practices in order to rebalance our relationship to the natural world.
Join us on the second Saturday of the month (from June through October) for a journey through Tacony Creek Park in the Olney neighborhood of Philadelphia where we will honor the sun, wind, trees, birds and nature. Mama Carla will share stories illuminating our place in community with one another and with our natural environment. Additional artists will bring movement and music to add breadth and depth to the holistic engagement. Participants will also assist in removing trash along the way as an act of reciprocity to nature.
