Managing the growth and spread of invasive plants is critical to supporting the native plants that sustain our local birds our ecosystems. Using our nature journals, we will identify and document one of the most common invasive plants, Japanese knotweed, and explore its medicinal and edible uses while controlling its spread by putting cleared knotweed to use in recipes and art.
This program involves walking outdoors, so dress for the weather. Returning participants are encouraged to bring their journals, but new ones will be provided to first-time guests. Registration is required, click here for more information!
