Philly Transit Equity Day
Transit Equity Day is a collaborative effort of several organizations and unions to promote public transit as a civil right and a strategy to combat climate change.
This February marks the 182nd birthday of Octavius Catto, civil rights leader who fought to desegregate Philadelphia’s horse-drawn trolleys in the 19th century. Octavius Catto's actions affirmed that everyone has a right to public transit.
Join us for the third annual Philadelphia Transit Equity Day as we celebrate Catto's legacy and continue the discussion on how we can create a more equitable transportation system in Philadelphia.
