Visit These Fun Destinations

Tacony Creek Trail - Look for signs of Spring at this natural oasis in North Philadelphia, and enjoy picturesque views of the Tacony Creek. Keep an eye out for wildlife, and use SEPTA to access all nine neighborhood gateways throughout the park.

Silver Lake Nature Center - The center and park are a short walk, bike ride, or Route 129 bus ride from SEPTA’s Bristol Regional Rail station. Once you are there hike along their trail network through forests, meadows, and along the lake.

John James Audubon Center - The Center is located along the Perkiomen Creek near its confluence with the Schuylkill River. This makes it an ideal location for birding and a key stop along the region's Circuit Trails. Use the Audubon Loop trail to access the Center and its internal trail network and to connect to the nearby Perkiomen and Schuylkill River Trails.

Cooper River Park - A nearly 4 mile paved trail loops around a section of the Cooper River with plenty of greenspace along the river and excellent skyline views of Philadelphia. While you’re there, use the trail to visit Maria Barnaby Pennypacker Park and Gateway Park.

Save the date for Celebrate Trails Day on the Cobbs Creek Trail on April 27th

Join us and our friends Clean Air Council and Fairmount Park Conservancy on the trail for a day of walks, exhibitors, and family friendly activities including horseback riding.
